Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the LinguaDict app and the linguadict.uk website do with your information. We designed the app to work with as little of your data as possible.

2. Data stored on your device

The app stores your learning progress, preferences and downloaded content packs locally on your device. This data leaves the device only if you enable sync or make a purchase that must be verified with a store.

3. Downloading content

When you download a language pack, our servers log the request (an account identifier if you are signed in, the language, the module and the time) so we can detect abuse and fix failed downloads. Requests are served from Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in order to deliver the response and protect the service from abuse.

4. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We receive a transaction identifier and the product purchased so we can unlock the content — we never see your card details. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from.

5. Advertising

The current build contains no advertising. If rewarded ads are introduced for the free tiers of learning modules, they will be served by a third-party ad network and will ask for your consent where required before any personalised advertising.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your choices

You can remove downloaded content and clear app data at any time from the app or your device settings. If you have an account, you can ask us to delete it by emailing the address below.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and change the date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
